Precious words from Steve "It is with a sad
heart that I have to say my grandmother, Venice Catherine Sweet/Thurmon, passed
away this evening at 10:45 from complications of a stroke.
She lived a wonderful life of 98 years and just
yesterday celebrated 78 years of marriage to my grandfather. She will be missed
by many."
Sweet words from Amber
The word grand is in grandparents for a reason. My
grandmother passed away lastnight. She was 98 to which 78 of them were with her
sweetheart, my granddad who just celebrated his 100th on Nov. 4th.
She taught me how to make the best Granola ever (friends can vouch), told me a
secret technique when I make bread. She helped me hide in the blueberry bush and
pick blueberries to avoid riding the horse. She was simple, pure, so loving,
petite, soft and the smell of oil of olay when I would kiss her on the cheek, I
will never forget.
