Rejina Thurmon Marshall, 96, of Dyersburg, died
Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at The Highlands of
Dyersburg.
She was a homemaker and a member of Parr Avenue
Church of Christ.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dyersburg
Funeral Home with Bill Hall, Roy Thurmon, Parks
Thurmon and Scott Owen officiating. Burial will be
in Zion Cemetery in Cloverdale.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include four daughters, Glenda M. Reese
and Wanda M. Ray (Eddie), both of Dyersburg,
Charlotte Hall (Bill) of Hartselle, Ala., and Jane
Sloan (James) of Milan; two sisters, Ruth Hailey of
Newbern and Jewel Pigg
of Annandale, Va.; four brothers, Roy Thurmon and
Parks Thurmon, both of Dyersburg, Earl Thurmon of
Elbridge and Hurtle Thurmon of Ridgely; six
grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene
and Ira Thurmon; two sisters, Angella Seaton and
Wilma Whybrew; two brothers, J.E. and Melvin Thurmon;
and a grandchild, Bruce Hall.
Pallbearers will be Jack M. Reese, Alister Reese,
Will Krech, Payton Krech, Luke Bray, Jared Jones and
Jeffrey Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl
Thurmon, Don Ziegler, Terry Seaton, Glen Hailey and
Mel Hailey.
The family requests that any memorials be
directed to Parr Avenue Church of Christ or The
Highlands of Dyersburg.

Jackie Reese passed away April 22, 2000 in a
tractor accident. He is buried at Memorial Gardens near Newbern.

Charlotte Jane Jones, 55, of Apison,
Tennessee, died on March 21, 2013 at Memorial Hospital
after a brief battle with cancer. With great courage and
confidence, she looked forward to being with her Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Charlotte was born September 30, 1957 in El Paso, Tx.
She received her AA from Florida College in Temple
Terrace, Fla., and graduated with a bachelor's degree in
Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University in
Bowling Green, Ky. She was employed by First Tennessee
Bank on Hwy 58 as a teller and formerly by Hallmark in
Hamilton Place Mall.
She worshiped with the saints at North Hixson Church of
Christ in Hixson. Charlotte touched many lives with her
generous spirit, warm smile, wonderful sense of humor,
and great love for the Lord. She desired to share that
love with others. Having taught children's Bible classes
for many years, she was admired by many and will be
remembered for her dedication. She was a loving wife,
mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She
was an avid UT football and Kentucky basketball fan.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Reese.
Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 24 years,
Steve Jones; son, Jared Jones of Apison; son, Jeff Jones
of Apison; mother, Glenda Reese of Dyersburg, Tn.;
brother, Jack Marshall Reese of Dyersburg; nephew,
Alister Reese of Dyersburg; father-in-law , Robert J.
Jones, Jr, of San Antonio, Tx.; several loving aunts,
uncles, cousins, and friends. She will be greatly
missed.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Charlotte
to Florida College, 119 Glen Arven Ave., Temple Terrace,
Fla. 33617, or St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude
Place, Memphis, Tn. 38105.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to
family, friends, co-workers, and health providers for
their prayers and support.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on
Saturday, March 23, in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel
with Bill Holt, Jr. and ministers Bill Walton and
Bill Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood
Memory Gardens, East, with minister Jordan Shouse
officiating.
